The 3rd European Student Conference on Behaviour and Cognition will take place 17 – 18 March 2016 at the University of St Andrews, UK. Situated in beautiful Scotland, St Andrews is not only the home of golf, but has a long-standing tradition of being at the forefront of research in both Psychology and Biology. We are therefore delighted to invite you all to this special place!
This 2016 student run and led conference will bring together early-career researchers from different disciplines to present their work and discuss current topics in Animal Behaviour, Psychology, and Cognition.
In line with the success of previous years, the overarching aim of this conference is to promote an exciting atmosphere where MSc and PhD students from world leading institutes in Biology and Psychology are encouraged to take part in, and contribute to, a stimulating academic dialogue.
Over the course of two days, delegates will have the opportunity to hear selected talks by fellow peers and to be involved in structured discussions on a broad range of topics of scientific importance. These activities will expose delegates to the breadth and depth of ongoing research. Further to this, conference goers will be able to attend two keynote talks given by Professor William McGrew and Dr Andrew Young, renowned scientists within the field of evolutionary primatology and biology, respectively. This opportunity will allow delegates to nurture important connections and to engage in an exchange of views with established academics outwith their immediate research group.
Overall, Behaviour & Cognition 2016 will provide delegates with the opportunity to immerse themselves within an engaging and dynamic academic environment – an invaluable experience!
We encourage participation of delegates from across Europe working on animal behaviour and cognition – join us!
